Prior to graduate school, I had a career in policy communications and public affairs. I worked in-house in communications roles for policy institutes and advocacy groups, and on the agency side supporting a variety of clients including Fortune 500 companies, startups, and higher education institutions.
In these roles, I specialized in accessible communication strategy, making research and advocacy priorities clear to both policymakers and general audiences. I carry this experience into my research career, where I focus on public impact and bridging gaps between research, industry, and the public.
